For those wondering what the Ringling Bros. And Barnum & Bailey Circus Fully charged is all about, I'll be the first to tell you that it is exactly what it sounds like..."fully charged".
Unfortunately, we did not make it to the pre-show events for my daughter to see the "ephant" paint, but that's ok. I'll be honest, I'm not sure if that would've been a wise decision anyway. Do you know what it's like to get a 20 month old to sit in a seat for an entire show? She was so ready to get up and dance, jump around, holler at the performers...I felt like they should have came up and asked us to join the show! Helloooo three ring circus! :)
Fully Charged is complete with superhuman stunts like strongmen wearing logs on their shoulders swinging multiple people around in the air, a dare-devil stunt of someone being shot across the room while on FIRE, two men in the "Twin Turbines of Steel", amazing animals, and so much more! I think it's safe to say, there was never a dull moment!
I'm positive that my daughter's favorite moments were the animals! She could not take her eyes off of them. As horses performed amazing tricks, she yelled "giddup horseys" while clapping as her life depended on it! As for myself, it's a toss up between the two guys in the spinning cages and the crazy dude deciding it would be cool to rocket himself across the arena while on fire! I'll admit, I was a little concerned that they didn't immediately put the fire out. I mean who stands there and walks around while ablaze? Not me! LOL! I'm pretty sure my daughter was thinking the same thing while saying "uh oh!"
I think the only thing I was kind of bummed about was the fact that they didn't have more animals. It was still the wonderful circus I had attended before, but even my mom made the comment that it was lacking animals. Maybe we wanted to see more animals because it was what entertained my daughter? After all, your likes and wishes do tend to change after you have kids! ;) Oh, and the fact that my daughter loved her souvenirs, but the price point was more than I would like to spend. Of course we did because it was her first circus and I knew she would love everything. Needless to say, we walked away with a spinning wand that lights up, a stuffed animal, and a crazy clown cup that was filled snow cone (and it sure was yummy). Fortunately, if you're not looking to spend $22 on a spinning wand, they had a super cute stuffed animal with the Ringling Bros. logo t-shirt on him that was only $10, and I'll admit that the quality seems to be really good! :)
Overall, it was an amazing experience and I'm so glad that we went! I'm positive that we'll take our again when she's a little older. Until then, I'll save up some money to buy that $90 stuffed "ephant" animal that I'm sure she wishes we had brought home.
If you haven't been yet, there's still time! You can still grab your tickets by visiting Time Warner Cable Arena's Event Page. Be sure to use the code BIGTOP to save $6. I noticed that some of my friends just took their children this past evening, and by the pictures I'm sure you will not be disappointed either! :)
